Software Engineer - Backend (Remote Eligible)

Swiggy's tech stack processes hundreds of thousands of concurrent delivery requests, real-time geolocation ping streams, and dynamic order matching in under 50 milliseconds. You will collaborate on extreme-scale microservices written in Go and Java running on Kubernetes clusters.

4. What You Will Do

• ✓Design and maintain microservices capable of handling millions of real-time orders during IPL and festive peak spikes.
• ✓Work with Kafka message brokers, distributed cache clusters (Redis), and partitioned relational databases.
• ✓Develop low-latency APIs and gRPC microservices for mobile and internal dispatch consoles.
• ✓Automate end-to-end integration testing and CI/CD pipelines.

5. Key Responsibilities

• Ensure ultra-low latency (<30ms) across customer-facing checkout and tracking endpoints.
• Implement multi-threading, concurrency patterns, and asynchronous worker pools.
• Conduct in-depth root cause analysis (RCA) on production anomalies.
• Contribute to open-source libraries and Swiggy engineering tech blogs.
